Bereavement Support Group
WE COME TO THE WORLD FOR SERVING & SHARING
The Bereavement Support group is now in its 7th year and providing much needed support to people grieving in our community. The service operates a drop in meeting once per month on the first Friday each month 10.30 – 12 noon in the Parish Centre, Abbey Street Roscrea. The group gives a warm welcome to adults in our community of all faiths and social backgrounds. After eight weeks following a funeral the group send out a special sympathy card to the deceased family, which has details of the phone number of the group and also inviting them to join the group. The group starts by lighting the Group candle which represents the unity and support as a group together and also light a candle for each of the loved ones deceased. A cup of tea or coffee is an essential part of the group. The group hold a special memorial service in January each year to remember loved ones.
